(I sent this post on facebook to our family and a couple of friends on my inbox a couple of days ago but, decided to make it our first "post" on our blog today to try things out!. Wish us luck!)

Hello Family and Friends,

I don’t know what was more fun for the boys, landing in Tokyo or landing in Bangkok! They were so excited with all of their new surroundings when they finally got to Thailand on Thursday night. Boy oh boy was is hot! We searched for apartments all day on Friday and then ate some very traditional Thai food (which Jace hated “of course”) and then treated the whole family (minus Jace…he was too shy) to a Thai foot massage in the early evening. It was wonderful. All the Thai women tried to offer a massage to Jace but, he would have nothing to do with it. I think they were a little taken with his cute freckle face. Jace ate a cheeseburger happy meal! J

We found a wonderful apartment/three bedroom hotel room (on Saturday )with a kitchen and a washer and dryer combo. It is what they call a service apartment. It is PERFECT. It gets cleaned EVERYDAY. YES you heard me right e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y! :) It is actually a Marriot in downtown Bangkok SO we are earning points the whole time we are here. Ya Baby! It has a beautiful pool on the roof. Today is Steve's "go live" so the boys and I took it upon ourselves to leave him alone and we just hung out at the pool for 4 hours. ;-)

We went to church yesterday and the boys seemed to enjoy it. Dalton was disappointed when he found out that there was no mutual during the summer. I thought all three hours were really nice. We met up with a family right after the block that invited us to come out to the American community where they live and have lunch with them and see what it was like when you are “outside” of Bangkok and living in the American community. I think they were a little starved for some friends. I think the boys felt they were overly pushy in trying to sale us on moving to Bangkok and living the American Community. They were a really nice family. We had a really nice time. Dalton was eager to get back to our apartment. The man in this family works for the American Embassy (I am drawing a blank on his name). The wife (Catherine) is a stay at home mom. She was so eager to show us all over the community and sale us on the place. We did have a nice time though.

Dalton and Gray have really loved the last few days but Jace is still trying to warm up to it. He doesn't seem to like change a whole lot. When things are really different or out of his comfort zone he seems to get pretty tenderhearted really quick. Maybe by next week he will start coming around. It has only been 3 and half days. We are all still waking up in the middle of the night. Our clocks are all off. :/ We are trying to sleep at the right times. Last night Steve, Gray, Jace and I all fell asleep at 6pm and then we were wide awake at 1:30 am. CRAZY! We missed calling our dad’s and grandfather’s to wish them a Happy Father’s Day because of this sleep deprivation so, we would like to wish a belated Happy Father’s Day to our dad’s and grandpa’s! We sure love you and appreciate you in our lives.

We sure hope all is well with our family and friends!

Katie and crew..
